October 2026 Newsletter

Hello everybody,

Did your family in the past have a favourite pet ? Do you have a painting or photograph of your ancestors with their dog, cat or other animal? Pets can play a significant part in our family memories and histories and they can turn up in surprising places in the records. Those of us who are completely steeped in the world of family history online sometimes forget that others don’t know where to start in their own searches, so I’ve decided to include the information below at the bottom of every article that I put on my blog from now on. Hope it is helpful!
